Athens Classical Marathon 2012: Kenyans did it again

Three Kenyan athletes were the winners of the 30th Athens Classical Marathon which was held in Greece on 11th of November 2012.

Raymond Kimutai Bett, who also captured this race in 2010, finished in 2 hours, 11 minutes, 35 seconds. He was followed by the also Kenya athletes, Paul Kibet Kosgei  in 2:12:20 and Alex Sumko Kirui in 2:12:26.

Bett said “It was a very difficult record to achieve. This time the race in Athens seemed to be more difficult. Although I knew the route, I was very cautious. That lede to stay behind at first because I was holding powers.”
